Manchester United Girls U18's continue in their quest for honours in their first Season of the CMWL maintaining a 100% record in the league and cup with no goals conceded!!
A massively impressive result tonight, a 6-0 win over Curzon Ashton Reserves who fielded no less than, 5 of their first team in a friendly fixture!!

Manchester United U18's Game against Altrincham was unfortunately cancelled but they managed to play a friendly game against the Div 2 West leaders "Boothstown Ladies" which proved to be a very good test and after a physically challenging game although played in good spirits, a brilliant goal from 25yrds from Carly Bayley gained the victory for Man United U18's 2-1, if she and Chelsea Nightingale continue with their consistant performances, it wont be long until they get the eye of the England U19's scouts!!

with respect to the girls you mention and i'm sure they probably need looking at for u19s but there are quite a few young players who play regular in the National Premier League who do not get selected for u19s... Its easy to look good against relatively poor opposition..

Its easy to look good against relatively poor opposition.. Do you think I'm not aware of the girls in the Premier league and the standard?? I am... Are you aware of the opposition United play? have you seen United play?? your CONSISTENT anti Man United rant!!?! is so obvious.. Having been involved in football for a long time, it's very easy to spot your type, which I still find amusing. Having only re-started their U18's side since August 2009 Man United U18's are quickly attracting attention from Managers in higher leagues, (including the Regional and National Premier Leagues !), who have already made enquires re; availabilty of some of the players for next season, now I wonder why that is? ?.. "you can only beat whats in front of you" you heard that cliche??? and for you to comment that "it's easy to look good against relatively poor opposition", I find that demeaning both to Man United and the opposition in The CMWL, do / did, you play the beautiful game?? if you have played then I'm sure even you understand players have to start somewhere and progress albeit in the lower leagues..... my comments were tongue in cheek but wouldn't it be nice for girls in the lower leagues to get an opportunity to go to a England training camp??.....stop being so anal. Perhaps I could speak to Man United and arrange to play your U18's team who ever that may be?? But there again they've got nothing to prove, as I've overheard their manager state "Their only a work in progress" despite all the hype that surrounds them... Or are you TOO GOOD?? Ha ha I wouldn't consider the likes of Curzon Ashton who fielded 5 of their 1st team, West Brom U18's and Rochdale who fielded quite a few of their reserves all these teams play in leagues much higher than Man United "relatively poor opposition" but then again ..I' perhaps dont know as much about football as you!!!

United U18's bid for a place in the CMWL U18's Knock-out Cup Final when they face Port Vale in the Semi-final at Littleton Road Salford this sunday 21st Feb 2-15pm K.O. If this game goes on the last time these two met in the league...there'll be lots of exclamation marks!!!! !!!!

Could be wrong choice by Vale as United's inspirational manager wasn't with the team for the semi, it would've been interesting to see how the girls coped....

Looks like Man Utd are upto their old tricks, rumour has it that the U18's manager has left due to the club moving the goalpost and him having to take the fall for others incompetence, it would seem that the U18's were set up just as a "cosmetic side" for a pathwath for their Centre of Excellence....watch this space!!

Despite the upheavals, with the support and encouragement of their ex manager Manchester United Girls U18's have won the Cheshire and Manchester Womens League U18s Division title in their 1st season, undefeated and only conceding 4 goals and will be appearing in x2 cup finals also! All of the squad wanted to show their support of their Manager and leave with him when the glass tower bosses moved the goal post but their manager talked them round to staying and complete the job in hand, not letting all their hard work go to waste, a testament to his professionlism.. they've been duly rewarded...excellent well done!! Hopefully their'll win more than the mens 1st team hahaha! the treble!!!???!!!
