France coach Stéphane Pilard is looking forward to a mouthwatering UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship semi-final after securing second place in Group B with a comprehensive 4-0 triumph in Reykjavik. Eugénie Le Sommer, Laura Agard, Marie-Laure Delie and Charlotte Amaury all struck for Les Bleuettes as Poland struggled to handle a third game in six days but their coach, Robert Góralczyk, promised "this is just the start".

Stéphane Pilard, France coach
I'm obviously delighted. It's great to have qualified for the semi-finals and the [FIFA U-20 Women's] World Cup. Our game is all about attacking and we wanted to score an early goal, which we did, and from then on it was easier. I think Poland were tired and that made a big difference. We hope that happens again against Germany on Thursday. Last year Germany were better but this time our players are a year older and they know they have qualified for the World Cup so they'll be far more relaxed.

Robert Góralczyk, Poland coach
This is just the start. Better times for Polish football lie ahead. It was great for us to be here, to gain experience. At the moment we are better than the teams in the first and second qualifying rounds but not as good as the other teams at these finals. France were too strong for us. France, Spain, they played at too high a level for us. They train all the time and have been together for many years so at the moment they are too strong. We got more and more tired as the game went on and started making mistakes – it was very, very difficult for us.
